After Minowa Dam was completed, local people began planting maple trees little by little each year, and there are now over 10,000 maples.
In autumn the leaves burst into a frenzy reds and yellows.

In 2020 and 2021 it was ranked as the best autumn leaves in Japan. A “tunnel” of maples is lit up at night, creating a dreamy atmosphere.
