This ropeway has the largest elevation gain in all of Japan(950m).
Once you step inside the gondola, it only takes 7 and a half minutes to take you to 2,612m (the highest station in Japan).
The ropeway is open year-round so you can experience the changing seasons. In warmer months hiking and climbing are popular. The ridgelines and the views of the Southern Alps are spectacular.
