This is a unique local festival held in July.
Local men in festive costumes walk through the village carrying a portable shrine called a Mikoshi.

When they come back to the main shrine, they start breaking the Mikoshi by throwing it from the top of the stone stairs. They keep throwing it until it falls apart. The pieces of the Mikoshi are then collected by locals to give them luck for the year ahead.
