Miharashi Farm –Fruit Picking, Cooking, and Craft Experiences– All-in-One

Japanese agriculture is famous all over the world. The Japanese put special emphasis on the flavor and size of their produce. Japan is a gift-giving culture and fruits are considered to be one of the most common and best gifts you can give. Therefore, Japanese farmers work hard to create the biggest, the sweetest, and the most delicious produce they can. Come and try it for yourself. It is delicious!
Fruit Picking

• Strawberries – All you can pick and eat (three different varieties) | Jan 2nd to early Jun | 9:00-15:00 | 1000-1900 yen/person (4 years +) | Prices vary depending on the season

• Blueberries – All you can pick and eat for one hour | Early Jul to mid-Aug | 9:00-15:00 | 1100 yen (13 years +), 600 yen (6-12 years)

• Apples – Pick you own and pay by weight| Late Aug to late Nov | 9:00-15:00 | 200 yen for entry (4 years old and under go free), apples are charged by weight.

• Grapes - All you can pick and eat for one hour | Early Sep to late Oct | 9:00-15:00 | 1300 yen (6 years +), 700 yen (3-5 years)
Cooking Experience
• Making Soba Noodles – Learn how to make your own soba noodles with a soba making master and eat them afterward | Takes about two hours (including eating) | 5200 yen (five portions of soba noodles) | Prices vary depending on the number of participants

• Making Tofu – Make one of the healthiest foods in Japan | Takes about 2 hours | 2300 yen (for tofu made using two cups of soybeans)

• Making Oyaki – Oyaki are stuffed steamed buns and are a local delicacy of Nagano Prefecture | Takes about one hour | 1000 yen (making two buns per person)

• Bread and Jam making also available
Craft Experience
• Natural Dying – Dye your choice of small-item with your various seasonal dye choices available including indigo and marigold | Takes 45-90 minutes | 1000-1500 yen

• Weaving – Learn how to weave using old traditional weaving machines | Takes 30 minutes | 600-1300 yen (makes a coaster or vase mat)

• Chopsticks – Choose your wood of choice and carve your own chopsticks | Takes 60 minutes | 1000 yen

Language
Fruit picking can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of your Japanese language level. However, to enjoy cooking and craft experiences, we ask that at least one member of your group speaks some Japanese and is willing to translate for the others.

If none of your group speaks any Japanese, we may be able to offer a translator guide at extra cost. Please get in touch for more details.

BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL AND MUST BE MADE AT LEAST TWO DAYS PRIOR. MIHARASHI FARM ACTIVITIES ARE VERY POPULAR AND BUSY, ESPECIALLY AT WEEKENDS, SO BOOK WELL IN ADVANCE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.
